Clayton - Mrs. Texas Penney, 73, of Rt 1, Daisy, Tennessee, died atthe residence Saturday afternoon. She was a lifelong resident of NorthHamilton County and her husband was the late Geoge Clayton of Daisy.Surviving are five sons, Chester, Raymond and Claude Clayton of Daisy,Warren and Dennis Clayton of Chattanooga; one daughter, Mrs. Katie Millerof Soddy; two sisters, Mrs. Alice Higgins and Mrs. Mollie Housley ofSoddy; 32 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren and several nieces andnephews. Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. in the chapel ofthe funeral home, with the Reverend Luther and the Reverend CliffordBridges officiating. Interment will be in the Lovelady Cemetery.Pallbearers will be Harry Eustice, Charlie Rigsby, Norman Weeks, JuniorLewis, Jack Parker, and Henry Gravitt. Honorary pallbearers will beJesse Sneed, Fletcher Sneed, Forrest Pollard, S. L. Lewis, Willard Lewis,Roy Penney and Charlie Gentry. The body will remain at the funeralhome. Arrangements by Williamson-Garrison Funeral Home, Highway 27,Daisy.
