  [S16] Obituary. HAWKINS - MARIE, 66, 2025 Ruby St., Chattanooga, died in a Chattanooga hospital Thursday morning. She was member of the Soddy Church of God and a lifelong resident of Hamilton County and widow of Fred Hawkins, who died in 1958. Survivors, three daughters, Mrs. Jimmie Selvidge, Hixson; Mrs. Roy Higgins, Chattanooga; Mrs. Arvazine Gilbert, Chattanooga; two sons, Tony and Mack Hawkins, Chattanooga; one brother, Bill Rose, Soddy; one aunt, Mrs. Zella Cunningham, Chattanooga; 18 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be at 2:30pm Saturday from Soddy Church of God by the Rev. Howard McGhee and the Rev. Bill Fowler. Interment in Presbyterian Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Larry McCrosker, Alonzo Richie, Andrew Matteson, Baxter Gann, Arnold Gann, Everett Laymon. Honorary pallbearers will be the Mother's Class of the Soddy Church of God.
