Zelma Mae Lasley Penderdgrass, 92, of Soddy-Daisy, passed away on Monday, February 15, 2021. She was born on January 13, 1929 to the late Fayte and Elizabeth Lasley. Zelma was a member of Oak Street Baptist Church. She worked for Chattanooga Glass for many years and at Walmart in Soddy-Daisy for 28 years. She is preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Jesse R. Pendergrass; 3 brothers, Tom Lasley, Ed Lasley and Fayte Lasley, Jr and sister, Alma Lawrence.
Zelma loved her family deeply and is survived by 3 generations who adored and cherished her; 3 sons, Allan (Martha) Pendergrass, Ted (Robin) Rose and “Jabo” Paul (Judy) Rose; 2 daughters, Yvonne (Billy) Hartline and Sue (Ronnie) Johnson; grandchildren, Michelle (Joe) Coulter, Rick Hartline, Tony (Tabitha) Johnson, Eric (Mandy) Johnson, Jason Rose and Amanda (Theo) Harris; great grandchildren, Trey Dakes, Hayden and Kade Hartline, Libby and Chloe Coulter, Julia, Hannah and Ansley Johnson, Owen and Emmett Rose and Taeven, Mekhi and Alana Harris; sister-in-law, Drexel Lasley; many nieces, nephews and extended family.
Services will be on Friday, February 19, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at Hamilton Memorial Gardens. Visitation is Thursday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
