May 12, 1912 - December 17, 2012
Marie Dyke Wood, 100, of Soddy-Daisy, TN, passed away Monday, December 17, 2012. She was a member of the Soddy United Methodist Church and a member of the Eastern Star Mayflower Chapter No. 430. Ms. Wood retired from the Hamilton County Department of Education after thirty years as a School Teacher.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter T. Wood, Jr.; and a son, Walter George Wood.
She is survived by her daughters, Mary Edith Snider; Martha (Joseph) Hager; seven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
A Memorial Service will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, December 22, 2012, at the Soddy United Methodist Church, with Reverend Ken Scoggins officiating.
