  [S16] Obituary. November 20, 1927 - March 20, 2011 Ronald E. Standifer, 83, of Hixson, formerly of Sale Creek, passed away on March 20, 2011. He was a U.S. Navy veteran. He retired from the maintenance department at U.S. Pipe. He was preceded in death by his parents, Oliver and Mary Grace Standifer; wife, Virginia Ruth Standifer; brothers, Coy, Brooks, Bill, and George Standifer, and Tadd Goodson; sisters, Thelma Camp, Mildred McClendon, May Beeme, Ella Martin, and Hazel Standifer. Survivors include his sons, Tommy (Sheila) Standifer of Soddy-Daisy, and Ronnie (Kathy) Standifer of Hixson; grandsons, Andy, Wesley, Brian (Toni) Standifer; granddaughter, Julie Standifer; great granddaughter, Payton Standifer; sisters, Barbara Binns, and Jo Ann Bowman. A graveside service will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday in Standifer Cemetery with Rev. Reece Faucett officiating. A special thank you to Bess Johnson for her friendship and care.
