Graveside services for Hazel Shadwick Penney, 79, of Murfreesboro, whodied Wednesday, June 7, at Boulevard Terrace Rehabilitation and NursingCenter, will be 11 a.m. (EST) Friday at Hamilton Memorial Gardens iHixson. The Reverend Harold Ray will officiate. She was the daughter ofthe late Roy Lee Penney; daughter Mary Nelms of Murfreesboro; brothersWilliam Bill Shadwick and Joe Shadwick of Sale Creek; two grandchildren;and four great-grandchildren. A native of Hamilton County, she was amember of Burks Chapel Methodist Church in Hixson, and was retired from3M. Visitation will be from 6-7:30 p.m. today at the First CumberlandPresbyterian Church, Murfreesboro. Woodfin Memorial Chapel is in chargeof arrangements.

MURFREESBORO - Hazel Shadwick Penney, formerly of Hixson, diedWednesday, June 7 2000, in a rehab center in Murfreesboro. She was 79.Mrs. Penney was a member of Burks United Methodist Church in Hixson andwas retired from 3M. Survivors include her husband, Roy Lee Penney;daughter Mary Nelms, Murfreesboro; two brothers, William and JoeShadwick, both of Soddy-Daisy; two sisters, Helen Smith, Soddy-Daisy, andJane Buckner, Sale Creek; two grandchildren and fourgreat-grandchildren. A graveside service will be today a 11 a.m. EST inHamilton Memorial Gardens with the Reverend Harold Ray officiating.Arrangements are by Woodfin Memorial Chapel, Murfreesboro.
