September 15, 1934 ~ August 25, 2017 Ples Hamby, Jr., 82, of Soddy-Daisy, passed away on Friday, August 25, 2017. He built and owned P&S Ready Mix Concrete in Soddy-Daisy. He was the son of the late Ples and Louiza Hamby. Ples was preceded in death by his loving wife, Myrna S. Hamby. Survivors are his children, Steve Hamby (Wilma), Sandra Stewart (Jose), Linda Roberts (Terry), Randy Hamby (Michelle), Cindy McGuffee (Danny); grandchildren, Jennifer Higdon, Jeremy Stewart, Rebecca Cope, T.J. Roberts, Brandi Smith, Whitney Seals and Phoebe Grant; sisters, Yvonne Elsea (Johnny) and Shirley May; several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held on Monday, August 28, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Hamilton Memorial Gardens with Rev. Paul Forgey officiating. Visitation is Sunday from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. A special thank you to Ricky and Linda Mincey for the love and friendship during the last year and the prayers that led him to the Lord.
