Penney - Margaret 'Hazel', 83, of Rossville, died Tuesday in a localnursing home. A native of Manchester, Tennessee, she had lived inChattanooga and the North Georgia area most of her life and was retiredfrom Richmond Hosiery Mills after 40 years of service. She was aMethodist and was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Penney.Survivors include three daughters, Viva Yates, Chattanooga, Bessie M.Estes, Monito, Illinois, and Betty Jo Santos, Kissimmee, Florida; son,Edward E. Penney, Abilene, Texas; 12 grandchildren, 22great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Services will be at 1p.m. Friday in the funeral home chapel with the Reverend John Goforthofficiating. Burial will be in the National Cemetery. The family willrecieve friends after noon today at the South Crest Chapel of LaneFuneral Home.Family/Spouse: Joseph Isom Penney.
