  [S16] Obituary. September 6, 1934 - October 17, 2014 Roy Lee Nance, 80, of Soddy-Daisy, TN, passed away Friday, October 17, 2014. He was a member of the Shiloh Baptist Church. Roy was a United States Army Veteran and he had retired from U.S. Stove and C&D Engineering. He played, managed, and umpired softball for several years and he was an avid reader. Roy was preceded in death by his parents, Orville and Mae Nance; a brother, L.C. Nance and two nephews, Wayne and Carl Nance. He is survived by his wife of fifty seven years, Freida Nance; children, Karen Nance Hensley, Diane Nance (Jeff) Boston, and Ron Nance; two granddaughters, Tara May and Jesseca Nance; three grandsons, Ty Hensley, Colby Nance and Walker Boston; brothers, Ruel Nance and Nuel Nance; sisters, Iva Tyler, Emma Sue Hill and Fay (Larry) McCuistion along with several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be 11:00 A.M. Monday, October 20, 2014, at Williamson & Sons Funeral Home with Dr. Herschel Baker officiating. Burial will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens, with Military Honors. Visitation is 4:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home.
