William Eric Posey, 39, of Soddy Daisy, passed away on Thursday, September 23, 2010. He was a Christian and attended Dallas Bay Baptist Church. Eric was a 1989 graduate of Soddy Daisy High School and was employed for 11 years with Studer Management Services. He was an avid sportsman and loved to deer hunt. He was a great, loving father and friend. Eric was his daughter’s biggest fan during cheerleading.
Survivors include his wife, Lynn Posey; children, Erica Lynn Posey and Evan Luke Posey; mother, Shelia Smith; step-father, Rick Smith; father, Bill Posey; brother and sister-in-law, Derrick and Leigh Posey; grandmother, Loraine Posey; aunts, Sassey Easton and Shirley Fritts Coleman; nephew, Cody Posey along with several other aunts, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be Sunday, September 26, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Marty Thompson officiating. Interment will follow the service at Varner Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 4-9 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made at any SunTrust Bank to the William Eric Posey Memorial Fund.
