  [S16] Obituary. Betty Johnson Betty L. Johnson, 78, of Soddy-Daisy, TN, passed away Wednesday, May 5, 2010. She worked at Dixie Yarns supporting the efforts of World War II and then later she was employed by DuPont. She was preceded in death by her parents, George & Ada Sutherland; brothers, Harland, James & Edward Sutherland; and sisters, Delma Coleman, Hazel Cox & Georgia Lee Swanner. She is survived by her husband of sixty-three years, James I. Johnson; son Ike (Karen); daughters, Carolyn & Janet and grandchildren, Rebecca & Corbin, sisters, Velma Mae Skiles, Thelma Ruth Sutherland and Hannah Hensley. The funeral service will be 12:00 P.M. Saturday, May 8, 2010, at Williamson & Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Calvin Nunley officiating. Burial will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 4:00 P.M. TO 8:00 P.M. Friday. The family would like to offer a special thanks to Hospice of Chattanooga for all of their loving care they provided.
