  [S16] Obituary. May 19, 1943 ~ November 21, 2017 Malcom Varner, 74, of Soddy-Daisy, passed away on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 from injuries sustained in an ATV accident. He was a retired machinist with ABB (Combustion Engineering) after 38 years of service, and he served six years in the US Army National Guard. Malcom was preceded in death by parents Tommie & Mildred Duggan Varner & sister Beverly Varner Herman. Survived by wife of 48 years Janice Bishop Varner; daughters Paula (James) Burchard of Spring City & Missy (Rob) Hale of Hixson; 4 grandchildren. Zachary Burchard, Alexander Burchard, Jenna Burchard & Clay Hale; brothers, Kenneth (Rita) Varner, Norman (Aileen) Varner; sisters, Carol Hamrick, Linda (Tom) Ricketts & Laurel Herman Services will be held on Sunday, November 26, 2017 at 2:30 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Bishop Calvin Nunley and Bishop Ricky Smith officiating.
