Penney - Hiram Jackson, 82, of 1612 Thrasher Pike, Hixson, diedTuesday in a Chattanooga nursing home. He was the son of the late JamesT. and Louvenia Jackson Penney, a pioneer family of Hixson. He was amember of the Dividing Ridge Church of God. He was retired from HamiltonCounty Highway Department and Chattanooga Publishing Co. Survivorsinclude his wife, Vesta Gann Penney, Hixson; two sons, Harold and StancelPenney, both of Signal Mountain; brother Warren Penney, Red Bank; twosisters, Alta Hill and Ruth Harrawood, both of Hixson; four grandchildrenand three great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Services willbe held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home chapel with the ReverendJames T. Thorp and the Reverend Frank Rich officiating. Burial will bein the Dividing Ridge Church of God Cemetery. Arrangements by Williamsonand Sons Funeral Home, Soddy-Daisy.
