Died Thursday afternoon (October 30, 1975) at his residence. He retired from the Dave L. Brown Company after 30 years of service and also was a member of Teamsters Local 515. Son of the late Samuel May and Martha Wease May, who were lifelong resident fo North Hamilton County. Survivors: Wife, Lucille Garner May; six daughters, Beatrice Craig, Berkeley, California; Melda Chandler, Oakland, California; Imogene Hawkins, Singal Mountain, Tennessee; Betty Cathey, Hixson, Tennessee; Charlene Guire, Nashville, Tennessee; Lucinda Gilbert, Dallas, Texas; three sons, Glenn May, Daisy, Tennessee; Kenneth E. May, Daisy, Tennessee; Farrell May, Henderson, Tennessee; one brother, Willis May, Soddy, Tennessee; 18 grandchildren; one great grandchild; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home chapel by the Rev. Norman Sims, Rev. Bobby G. Scott and Rev. Winfred Petty. Interment in Hamilton County Memorial Park Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Cecil Williams, Sam May Dewey May, Roy Benton, Milton Masterson, Marvin Goodson. Honorary pallbearers will be employees of the Dave L. Brown Company. The body will remain at the funeral home. Arrangements by Williamson and Sons, Highway 27, Soddy-Daisy.
