Jerry “Jim” Franklin Purser Jr., 67, of Soddy-Daisy passed away Saturday, October 1, 2011 at a local hospital. He was a member of Soddy Church of Christ. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and retired from the Chattanooga Group. He will be sadly missed by family and friends. He was a loving husband, son, father, brother and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his father, Jerry F. Purser Sr.
He is survived by his wife, Faye Purser of Soddy-Daisy, daughter, Briana (Bennie) Feltman of Red Bank, mother, Gladys Purser-Turner of Dayton, step-daughter, Missy (Morris) Hilton of Harrison, step-son, Todd Woodall of Soddy-Daisy, brothers, Dickie E. (Velma) Purser of Marietta, GA., Barry (Elaine) Purser Sr. of Sale Creek, sisters, Alyce Purser of Dayton, Donna (Richard) Riggs of Hixson, Beth (Con) Kellerhals of Ringgold, GA., grandchildren, Allison Ellis, Kristen Woodall both of Soddy-Daisy, several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday in the funeral home chapel with Minister Bill Greer and Dr. Barry Purser officiating. Family will receive friends from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M.
