    Penney - Cecil, Sr., age 54, Route 1, Soddy, died in a Chattanoogahospital Saturday morning. He was a member of the Daisy Masonic Lodgenumber 706 F&AM, and retired from the U.S. Army after 20 years. He issurvived by his wife, Mrs. Nora Penney, Soddy, one son, Cecil Penney,Jr.; one daughter Mrs. Lenda Lasley, both of Soddy; five stepsons, WesleyLeonard, and Dennis Skiles, all of Dayton; one sister Betty Hankins,Soddy; three brothers, Ralph, James N. and William Penney, all of Soddy;two grandchildren, several aunts and uncles and nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday from the chapel of thefuneral home conducted by the Reverend Louis Hickman. Interment willfollow in the East Soddy Cemetery. Active and honorary pallbearers willbe the Daisy Masonic Lodge 706 F&AM, and the Soddy VFW Post will havecharge at the graveside. Arrangements by Williamson and Sons,Soddy-Daisy.

    Penney - Margaret Aldine, age 73, of Rt. 3, Soddy, died in aChattanooga hospital Friday night. She was the daughter of the late Aland Bell Beene Penney, pioneer settlers of North Hamilton County. Sheattended the East Soddy Church of God. She is survived by her husband,Fred Penney of Soddy; four sons, Ralph Penney, Cecil Penney, William A.Penney and James M. Penney all of Soddy; one daughter, Mrs. Betty Hankinsof Soddy; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Cate Ford of Chattanooga and Mrs. LulaMae Cannon of Soddy; one brother, Jack Penney of Soddy; 15 grandchildren;11 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral serviceswill be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday from the East Soddy Church of God,conducted by the Reverends Louis Hickman and Roy Eldridge. Intermentwill follow in the Penney family cemetery.
