Levi, 90, of Union, Kentucky and formerly of Soddy-Daisy, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 4, 2016 at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Florence, KY. He was born December 6, 1925. Known by family and many friends as “Papaw,” Wilburn graduated from Soddy-Daisy High School and was married to his high school sweetheart, Hannah Jones Levi. He enjoyed a long career with Norfolk-Southern Railroad. After retirement, Wilburn loved working with the maintenance staff at Conner High School in Hebron, KY. He was much loved by both students and staff. Wilburn was an avid fisherman, loved sports (especially UK basketball) and vacationing with family. He had a sharp mind and loved humor. He will be missed by all who knew him. He is preceded in death by his wife, Hannah Jones Levi. He is survived by his son, Dwight Levi (Sheila); grandchildren, Kelly Levi Adams (Nathan) and Stacy Levi Benetti (Alex); great-grandchildren Chase, Lindsey (Adams) and Saylor, Hudson (Benetti). Donations may be made to Florence Baptist Church Haiti Missions P.O. Box 456 Florence, KY 41022. Visitation will be held Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Williamson & Sons Funeral Home.
