  [S16] Obituary. September 9, 1944 - November 27, 2013 Wanda Janette Sutherland Swift, 69, of Rhea County, passed away on Wednesday, November 27, 2013. Formerly of Soddy-Daisy, she was a member of the Soddy-Daisy Eastern Star for many years. Janette was preceded in death by her mother, Bertha Almeda Hayes; step-dad, Paul Hayes; sisters, Ola Harrol and Juanita Varner and several aunts and uncles. Survivors include her daughter, Gail (Carl) Dowden; grandson, Justin (Tasha) Hickman; brothers, William “Bill” (Susan) Sutherland, Allen (Juanita) Hayes, Paul Hayes and Wesley Hayes; brother-in-law, Elmer Varner and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held on Saturday, November 30, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at Granny Walker Cemetery. Visitation is Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
