  [S16] Obituary. May 4, 1927 - January 26, 2009 Thelma L. Wright Higgins, 81, of Soddy-Daisy passed away Monday, January 26, 2009 at a local health care center. She was a member of Mile Straight Baptist Church. She was the widow of Charles Higgins and was preceded in death by her parents; Emmitt G. and Edith S. Wright, brother; Emmitt Jr. Wright, and daughter-in-law; Kathy L. Higgins. She is survived by her sons; Charles David (Angela) Higgins, Danny L. (Synthia) Higgins, Michael B. (Reesa) Higgins, grandchildren; Naomi (Stan) Gregory, Keelie (Jason) Holder, Danielle (Jeremy) Carney, Austin Martin, great-grandchildren; Dakota Holder, Jake Carney, Sierra “Sissy” Holder, sisters; Wilma (Charles) Shackelford, Bobbie (Bill) Hensley, Mary (Johnny) Harper, sister-in-law; Jo Wright, brother; David J. (Shirley) Wright, aunts; Faynett Wright of Soddy-Daisy, Helen Scarbrough of Crossville, TN., Collen Wright of Parker City, IN., several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. David Cross officiating. Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Higgins nephews will serve as pallbearers. Family will receive friends from 2-9 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.
