  [S16] Obituary. January 29, 1934 - November 3, 2011 Thelma E. Leffew, 77, of Soddy-Daisy, TN, passed away, Thursday, November 3, 2011. She was a lifelong resident of Soddy-Daisy, and was a member of Sequoyah Baptist Tabernacle. Ms. Leffew was a lady of many talents, but will always be remembered for her baking and cooking skills which were legendary. Her heart was as big as the State of Tennessee. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother and was a good friend to many people. Those who knew her knew how special she really was. Rest peacefully, Momma, You are loved and missed. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arvel Leffew; parents, Jim & Elsie Sneed; sisters, Marie Higdon and Darlene Sneed; and a brother Willis “Buddy” Sneed. Surviving are her two sons, Bobby Davis of Hixson, Terry Davis of Atlanta; grandchildren, Mandy Estrada and Chris Davis of Soddy-Daisy and Hixson; grand-Goddaughter, Christy Randolph of Soddy-Daisy; brother, Vernon Sneed; sisters, Lela Arnold, Velma Hart, Agnes Riggs, Glenda Trent all of Soddy-Daisy and Hixson; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. The funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, November 5, 2011, at Williamson & Sons Funeral Home, with Reverend David Stancil officiating. Burial will follow in Hamilton County Memorial Park. Visitation will be 4:00 P.M. TO 9:00 P.M. Friday. Many kind thanks to Amedysis Hospice for the compassionate, heartfelt care given Thelma in her final days of transition.
