  [S16] Obituary. August 4, 1933 - July 26, 2015 Ronald McEwen, 81, of Sale Creek, passed away July 26, 2015, at a local hospital. He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Patsy McEwen, his parents, Ervin and Winifred McEwen, brothers, Malcolm, Marshall, and Tommy McEwen, sons Ronnie and Ricky McEwen, and grandson Larry Duff, Jr. He is survived by his sisters Nancy (Don) Burton, Hixson and Billie Carol (Bill) Eldridge, Soddy-Daisy, daughter Deena (Eddie) Alvey, Dayton, and son Warren (Bronwyn) McEwen, Lookout Mountain. He was a loving grandfather to his grandchildren Jennifer, Sondra, Rhonda, Noel, Larry, Mary Catherine, Bronwyn, Will, and Jack; great grandchildren Christopher, Cameron, Taylor, Emily, and Hayden; several nieces and nephews. He was a life-long resident of Sale Creek. He was an employee of Combustion Engineering for 32 years. He was a member of Bakewell Bible Church. He loved farming and would freely give many of his crops to family and friends. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Joe Runyan officiating. Interment will follow in Rhea Memory Gardens. Visitation is noon-2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
