August 18, 1928 - September 16, 2013
R.V. "Cotton" Woodward, 85, of Hixson, passed away on Monday, Sept. 16, 2013. He was born Aug. 18, 1928. Cotton was employed at DuPont for 36 years, and was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Marguerite McAfee Woodward; son, David Woodward; and granddaughter, Katie Woodward.
Survivors include his wife, Jewell Woodward; sons, Roger (Joyce) Woodward, and Mike Woodward, all of Hixson; grandchildren, Tony, Shelley, Nicole, Amanda; and great-grandchildren, Chole, Corbin, Caitlyn, Carter, Kylie, Kelsey and Kayden.
Services will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2013, in the funeral home chapel with Pastors Sonny Wilkes and Wilburn Reno officiating. Burial will follow at Dividing Ridge Cemetery. Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and after 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
