She was a member of Brooks Memorial United Methodist Church and retired from Dixie Yarns as Credit Union Manager with 42 years of service. She was an avid bowler and at age 91 was a competition bowler, having bowled over 200 in recent competitions. She was a member of Marys Wednesday Wonders and the Bowlerettes. Reatha was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard B. Hughes, her parents, brother, sister and nephew. Survivors are a nephew, Theron Gross, of Tracy City; two nieces, Nelda Gross, of Tracy City, and Nancye Hughes Wilson, of Sodd-Daisy, and a special friend, Betty Grace Austin, of Dunlap. Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Tuesday, September 28, 2010 at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home wit the Rev. Terry Huffer officiating. Burial will follow at Hixson Cemetery in Bledsoe County. The family will receive friends from 4 until 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
