  [S16] Obituary. February 22, 1962 - March 17, 2013 Preston Claude “Pret” Young, 51, of Soddy-Daisy, passed away on Sunday, March 17, 2013. He was of the Baptist faith and preceded in death by his parents, Charles “Copper” Young and Viola Hindman Young and his brother, Perry “Squeaker” Young. Pret was a hunter and fisherman who loved the outdoors and old gospel music. Survivors include his fiancee, Eulene Robley Young; brothers, Charlie (Ann) Young, James (Patty) Young and Lloyd (Kathy) Young; sister, Linda (Rodney) Brown; step-daughter, Rebecca (David) Ashley; step-grandson, Ronnie Hawkins, Jr. and several nieces and nephews. He was Pa Pa to Michael, Samantha, Julie, Savannah and Jacob. Services will be held on Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Melvin Walker officiating. Burial will follow at Dodd Cemetery with Marty Martin, Scottie Young, Seath Young, Joey Young, Roy Styles, Joe Young, Eddie Miller and Jeremy Hindman serving as pallbearers.
