Paul Ray Hill, 74, of Soddy-Daisy, passed away on Sunday, June 5, 2016. Ray was a member of Dividing Ridge Church of God. He served his country in the U.S. Army and retired from TVA after 20 years of service. Ray was the former owner Ray’s Bar-B-Q and the Daisy Freeway Service Station. He was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore and Thelma Hill; siblings, Edwin Dodd, Bonnie Dodd Lasley, Alice Morgan and Gene Hill.
Survivors include his wife, Glenda Davidson Hill; daughter, Wendy Crumley (Steve); grandchildren, Hunter and Colton Crumley; brothers, James Hill, Johnny Hill, Marvin Hill (Brenda), Ronnie Hill (Brenda); sister, Beverly Walker (T.A.); brother-in-law, Tom Cawood; sister-in-law, Kathy Cawood; several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at 12:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Sonny Wilkes, Pastor Bruce Wilson and the Honorable Judge Clarence Shattuck officiating. Burial will follow at National Cemetery with military honors. Pallbearers will be Gary Miller, Larry Miller, Faron Morgan, Rod Kellogg, Tim Hill, Chuck Hill and Tom Cawood. Visitation is Tuesday from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
