Fay was a native of Chattanooga and was a member of the Tyner Church of Christ. She had a special love for traveling and a great appreciation for our National parks and National Wonders around the country. Fay was an active member of the Tri-State Loafers Camping Club. She was a loving wife and mother and was loved by everyone who knew her. Survivors include her loving and devoted husband of 56 years, Herman Werndli; daughters, Karen Gregory and her husband, Don of Manchester, Tn, and Denise Jones and her husband, Roger of East Ridge; three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and several beloved nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 26, in the Heritage Funeral Home Chapel with Minister John Cupp and Minister George Cupp officiating. Interment will be in the Chattanooga National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made in Fays name to the National Cancer Society or to Hospice of Chattanooga.
