  [S16] Obituary. Ercel O. Johnson, 86, of Sale Creek passed away December 5, 2011 at her home. She was born in East Tallassee, AL. and graduated from Erlanger’s School of Nursing as an RN. She retired from Dupont in 1983 after 27 years of service as an Industrial Nurse. She was an avid gardener, reader and was a very strong and courageous lady. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert “Pete” Johnson, grandson, Robert Joseph Johnson Grantham, parents, John Gordon and Minnie Beatrice O’Brien, siblings, Mary Claire “Pat” Holcombe, John G. O’Brien, Norma Jean Dickson. She is survived by her children, Lynne (Larry) Hicks, Robert (Cindy) Johnson, Roger Johnson all of Sale Creek, brother, William N. (Debbie) O’Brien of Long Pond, PA., 5 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends from 1-3 & 5-7 P.M. Friday at the funeral home.
