  [S16] Obituary. December 25, 1935 - November 6, 2013 Cloyd Eugene “Sarge Gene” Smith, 77, of Soddy-Daisy, TN, went to be with his Lord, Wednesday, November 6, 2013. He was born December 25, 1936 in Punxsutawney, PA. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Marion Smith; sister, Mary Catherine Elenburger and his first wife, Joyce Davis. Gene was a twenty year United States Army Veteran, a life member of the V.F.W, a member of Soddy Daisy American Legion Post 107, he retired from TVA at Sequoyah and was a member of Soddy Community Chapel Assembly of God. Survivors include his wife, Eulene Mayberry Smith; son, Tim (Teresa) Smith; daughter, Lisa Smith Adams, step-son, Stanley Mayberry, step-daughter, Marquita Barker, all of Soddy-Daisy; one sister and two brothers in Pennsylvania; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Friday, November 8, 2013, at Williamson & Sons Funeral Home, with Reverend Mark Chumley officiating. Burial will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens with Military Honors. Visitation is 11:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M. Thursday and after 11:00 A.M. Friday at the funeral home.
