  [S16] Obituary. May 2, 1941 - November 29, 2015 Charles Donald Greene, 74, of Soddy-Daisy, passed away at home on Sunday, November 29, 2015. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and retired from U.S. Pipe & Foundry after 25 years of service. He was of the Church of God faith and loved flowers and landscaping. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Anderson E. and Margaret Jane (Penny) Greene; brothers, Joseph “Bud”, Lloyd, Jamie, Billy Ray and Morris Greene; sisters, Milburn Gulliver, Rosalie Wielkopolan, Meta Murphy, Janet Grant and Virginia “Jenny” Gilmore. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years Nila Greene; sons, Anderson E. Greene (son, Kevin Greene); Tommy Hickman (wife Stephanie; son, Kris Hickman; step-children, Tori, Alex and Stephen); sisters, Patsy Carlock, Carol Harrison, Georgia Greene; great-grandson, Joseph Greene; special friend, Bill Durham; along with several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday, December 3, 2015, at Williamson & Sons Funeral Home with Bishop Arvil Hurst officiating. Internment will follow at East Soddy Cemetery.
