Joyce F. Johnston, 70, of Soddy-Daisy passed away Monday, February 28, 2011 at a local hospital. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Soddy-Daisy. She loved children, crafts and gardening.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George F. and Charlotte Fry, sister, Diane Logan.
She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Jim Johnston, children, Cindy Couey, Terri (Danny) Robinson, Mike (Dee) Johnston, sister, Gayle (Jim) Mullenix, grandchildren, Ashley, Heather and Rachel Couey, Brittaney Robinson, Michael Johnston, great-grandchildren, Destiny, Harmony, Kaylee, Conner, several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday in the funeral home chapel with Dr. Seton Tomyn officiating. Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Payton Pelfrey, Paxton Pelfrey, Randy Lewis, Steven Morgan, Brandon Lewis, Brian Lewis, Mike and Michael Johnston. Family will receive friends from 4-8 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers you may make donations to the charity of your choice. Condolences and memories may be shared at www.williamsonandsons.com.
