Lillian "Mama Sims" Sims December 29, 1908 - December 4, 2006 Lillian “Mama Sims” Hensley Sims, 97, of Soddy-Daisy beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother passed away Monday, December 4, 2006 at her home. She was preceded in death by her husband; Joe Sims, son; Samuel Curtis Sims, parents; Joseph and Nancy Millsaps Hensley, sister; Lucille Davis, brothers; Frank, William, Thomas, and John R. Hensley, grandson; Dewayne Heard. She is survived by her sons; Marlin (Louise), Joe C. (Linda), Ed, and Lamar Sims all of Soddy-Daisy, Gary (Sara) Sims of Artesia, NM., daughters; Mildred Barker, Agnes Sims, Nancy (Charles) Vandergriff all of Dunlap, Faye (Al ) Tryon of Chattanooga, Patricia (Ray) Phillips of Hixson, Catherine Heard of Hendersonville, TN. Celebration of Life Service will be 3:00 P.M. Wednesday in the funeral home chapel with Dr. Jeff Sledge officiating. Interment will follow in Millsaps Cemetery, with her grandsons serving as pallbearers. Family will receive friends from 2-9 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.
