  [S16] Obituary. October 1, 1945 ~ May 30, 2017 Clayton Smith, 71, passed away on May 30, 2017. Clayton worked as a welder for C.M.C. for 28 years before retiring and was a member of North Hamilton Church of Christ. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jett and Gladys Smith; twin brother, Clinton Smith; brothers, Bob and Benny Smith; and a sister, Mary Lou May. He will be greatly missed. Survivors include his loving wife of 52 years, Margaret Ann Smith of Hixson; son, Clay (Debbie) Smith of Hixson; daughter, Jennifer (Dennis) Smith Heiss of Hixson; sister, Nancy Cagle of Dunlap; grandchildren, Morgan (Matthew) Treppard, Gavin Smith, Makenzie Heiss and Rorie Heiss; as well as several nieces and nephews. Services will be held in the funeral home chapel Friday, June 2, 2017 at 11:30 a.m. with Minister David Smith and Minister Bill Greer presiding; interment to follow at Hamilton Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends and loved ones from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 1, 2017 at the funeral home. Condolences and memories can be shared at www.williamsonandsons.com.
