  [S16] Obituary. July 16, 1953 - March 24, 2013 Ronald E. “Ron” Walker, 59, of Dunlap, TN, passed away on Sunday, March 24, 2013. He was of the Methodist Faith. Ron was a United States Navy Veteran, serving on the USS George Bancroft Nuclear Submarine. He worked for T.V.A. at the Sequoyah Nuclear Plant as an Assistant Unit Operator. He was preceded in death by his father, Vernon E. Walker. Ron is survived by his wife, Sharon Poole Walker; sons, Mitchell (Jerrica) Walker of Graysville, TN, Clint (Mel) Smith of Chattanooga, TN; daughter, Erika (Tommy) Cates of Sale Creek, TN; mother, Kathryn Walker of Hixson, TN; brother, Steven E. (Lilliam) Walker of Destin, FL; sister, Susan (Gary) Smith of Knoxville, TN; grandchildren, Jake, Trisha, Nick, Spencer, Alyssa Belle, Raven and Jocelyn; great-grandson, Jace; nephews, Andrew, Colby, Hank and Jack and two nieces, Karina and Lauren. Funeral services will be 12:00 P.M. Wednesday, March 27, 2013, at Williamson & Sons Funeral Home, with Reverend Jeremy Byrd officiating. Burial will follow in Rhea Memory Gardens, with Military Honors. Visitation is Tuesday from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
