Virginia Eichorn Patterson, 84, of Soddy-Daisy went home to be with the Lord on April 10, 2012. Virginia was born on March 12, 1928 to the late Vaughn and Ethel Eichorn. She was a member of the Abba’s House and the Eastern Star. She was retired from Hamilton County Schools at Red Bank Elementary and Hixson High School. She is preceded in death by her husband, Major Clarence “Pat” Leon Patterson.
She is survived by her sons, Dr. Vaughn E. (Mary) Patterson, Douglas L. Patterson, sister, Mary Yoh, her only granddaughter, Bethany Nicole Patterson, step-grandchildren, Jessica Faith Reagan, Lauren Hope Reagan, several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 11:00 A.M. Friday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev Carl Hunsucker officiating. Interment will follow the service at Chattanooga National Cemetery where she will be laid to rest with her husband. The family will receive friends from 4-8 Thursday at the funeral home. The family would like to thank Ina, Linda Norwood and Hospice of Chattanooga for their loving care and friendship to our mother.
