  [S16] Obituary. October 26, 1961 - September 12, 2011 Ray Eugene “Peanut" Ashburn, 49, of Soddy-Daisy passed away Monday, September 12, 2011 at his home. He was of the Baptist Faith. He loved his grandson dearly and was an avid outdoorsman. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray Gene and Kathryn Ashburn. He is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Ashburn, brothers, Rodney (Stephanie) Ashburn, Darrell (Pam) Mathis, sisters, Susan (Tom) Wilson, Deloris (David) James, grandson, Lucus, several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Dale Ashburn officiating. Interment will follow the service at Dogwood Cemetery.
