    Penney - Sim, age 60, died at the residence, Soddy, Route 1, earlySaturday morning. Surviving are his daughter, Mrs. J. H. Varner,Chattanooga, and three sons, Virgil, Willard and James Penney,Chattanooga; one brother, Ben Penney, Soddy, Tennessee; four sisters,Mrs. Ellie Higgins, Mrs. Mandy Hackney, Mrs. Alice Higgins and Mrs.Mollie Housley, all of Soddy, Tennessee, and Mrs. Teck Clayton, Daisy,Tennessee; two half sisters, Mrs. Phronia Higgins, Soddy and Mrs. DawnReno, Daisy, Tennessee. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m.Sunday at the Shady Grove Baptist Church, with Reverend Houston Baggettand Reverend Fred Fairchild officiating. Interment will be in ShadyGrove Cemetery. Pallbearers will be C. E. Clift, Monroe Masterson, CarlLasley, Houston Wilson, Jeff Hixson, and Troy Hickenbarker. The body isat the funeral home. Arrangements are by the National Funeral Home.
