  [S16] Obituary. August 3, 1940 - December 12, 2010 Carol Powell Alexander, 70, of Soddy-Daisy entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior on December 12, 2010 at her home. Carol was a devoted wife of Rex for years, a loving grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a member of Lake Drive Baptist Church in Sale Creek, and a member of Scottish Clan Donald-USA. She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph F. Powell, and grandson, Brandon N. Tackett. She is survived by her husband, Rexford Alexander, mother, Easter Powell, granddaughter, Breigh (Ernie) Ricketts, great-grandchildren, Landon, KaiLynne, sister, Jo Ann Hodge of Red Bank: “Mom” to Brenda (Kenneth Mann and “Grandma” to Miss Avery Mann; step-children, Gail Stevenson of Ooltewah and Barry Alexander of Dayton, 8 grandchildren. Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday in the funeral home chapel with Dr. David Haynes officiating. Interment will follow the service at Welsh-Rogers Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6-9 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Lake Drive Baptist Church, 16221 May Rd.; Sale Creek, TN. 37373.
