  [S16] Obituary. June 19, 1922 - November 4, 2010 Newell Loftis Gann, 88, of Hixson, TN, passed away, Thursday, November 4, 2010. She was born June 19, 1922 and was a lifelong resident of Hamilton County. Ms. Gann attended the Middle Valley Church of God. She was an avid sports fan and loved being around people. She was the daughter of the late, Samuel O. Loftis & Clara Jones Loftis. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Gann; son, Edwin Gann; brother, Virgil Loftis and a daughter-in-law, Beverly Gann. She is survived by her sons, Gary (Ann) Gann, Curtis Gann; daughters, Debbie (Rex) Bearden, Connie (Wiley) Phillips; sister, Verna Benton, loving friend and caregiver, Edith Bearden; nine grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. The funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, November 6, 2010, at Williamson & Sons Funeral Home, with Bishop Mitch McClure officiating. Burial will follow in Hamilton County Memorial Park. Visitation will be 4:00 P.M. TO 9:00 P.M. Friday. Pallbearers will be Travis Bearden, Greg Morgan, Rod Gann, Tim turner, Chad Phillips, Buddy Phillips, Brad Gann & Richard Gann.
