  [S16] Obituary. Roy Thompson August 19, 1937 - September 30, 2010 Roy D. Thompson, 73, of Soddy-Daisy passed away Thursday, September 30, 2010 at his home. He was of the Baptist Faith. He was retired from TVA and was later employed at Chattanooga State Technical College and was a member of Sale Creek Masonic Lodge. He loved baseball and was a St. Louis Cardinals fan and loved to fish. He was the son of the late Floyce and John Thompson and was preceded in death by his sister, Bertie Helen Moore and brother, Don Thompson. He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Linda Thompson, four children, Becky Stinnett, Tina Burrows, Mark Thompson and Buffy Thompson all of Soddy-Daisy, sisters, Glenna O’Brian of Houston, TX., Dora Moore of Soddy-Daisy, Alyne Yost and Linda Gail Spradling both of Chattanooga, 9 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Sunday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Jimmy Lindsey officiating. Interment will follow the service at Harvey Cemetery.
