  [S16] Obituary. August 1, 1942 - July 29, 2016 Clyde E. Skiles, 73, of Soddy-Daisy, passed away on Friday, July 29, 2016. He served his country in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He enjoyed going to his Army Reunion in Gatlinburg every year. Clyde was the owner of Clyde’s Used Cars in Soddy-Daisy for many years and a member of the Soddy Masonic Lodge #418 F&AM. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Mary Skiles; son, Clyde E. Skiles, Jr.; grandson, Brian Dodd; siblings, Arnold Skiles, Ruby Parrott and Dean Brooks. Survivors include his wife, Wanda J. Skiles; daughters, Darla Holbert, Sheila J. (Leroy) Tate, Patricia Skiles Gann; brothers, Archie M. Skiles and Johnny W. Skiles; sisters, Georgia Parrott and Jo Padgett; grandchildren, Wade Ayers, Alise Stephens, Charlie Stephens, Blake Pallas, Spencer Pallas, Phillip Branum, Joshua Tate, Ashton Carter, Christen Burwick and Sarina Holbert; great grandchildren, Cheyenne Ayers, Taylor Ayers, Raven Ayers, Kinsley Sigler, Brianna Dodd, Addison Dodd, KaiLeigh Tate, Adrielle Burwick, Harper Burwick, Iryona Brooks, Bryce Stephens and Chloe Branum. Services will be held on Monday, August 1, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Dr. Jack Links officiating followed by a Masonic Service by the Soddy Masonic Lodge #418 F&AM. Burial will follow at Varner Cemetery with military honors. Pallbearers will be Wade Hatfield, Wade Grant, Everett Hatfield, Eric Leffew, Charles Taylor and Randy Wilson. Honorary Pallbearers will be W.V. “Double V” Robinson and Ray McKee. Visitation will be Sunday from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
