Obituary for Mary Emma Lewis
Mary Emma Lewis, 89, of Hixson, passed away on Tuesday, June 24, 2008, at her home. Born in Soddy she was a lifelong resident of Hamilton County. Mary was of the Church of God faith. She was preceded in by her parents Rev. Bruce and Laura Redden, sister Nellie Redden and brother Ralph Redden. She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years Garnett Lewis, son Tommy (Pam) Lewis of Hixson, daughter Laura (Wayne) Warren, Nolensville, TN, sister Dorothy Patterson of Dunlap, grandchildren Jeffrey (Courtney) Warren of Franklin, TN and 2nd Lt. Brandon Warren of Nashville, devoted niece Dorothy Redden of Chattanooga and nephew Leland Redden.
Graveside services will be Thursday at 1:00 p.m. at Chancey Cemetery with Rev. Jim Patterson and Rev. Aline Summerland officiating. Pallbearers will be Charlie Rogers, Granville Lewis, Larry Lewis, David Luttrell, John Swafford and Wade Hatfield. Visitation is Wednesday from 3:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
