  [S16] Obituary. Robert W. Welch March 21, 1926 - July 14, 2009 Obituary for Robert W. Welch Robert Welch Robert W. Welch, 83, of Soddy-Daisy, passed away Tuesday, July 14, 2009. He was a member of the Bakewell Bible Church. Mr. Welch retired from TVA in 1988 as a mechanic. He served as a Midshipman 3rd Class Construction Battalion in the United States Navy during World War II. He greatly enjoyed cattle & hay farming and he could fix just about anything. His parents, Hiram & Marie Welch and a sister, Wilma Jenkins, preceded him in death. He is survived by his loving wife of fifty-six years, Betty Welch; children, Janet Welch, Dennis (Joy) Welch, Melanie (Wayne) Wright; brothers, Herbert, Ronald and Donald Welch; sister, Ann James and several nieces & nephews. Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 17, 2009 at Williamson & Sons Funeral Home with Bishop Terry Bolton & Bishop Kenneth Bolton officiating. Interment will follow the service in Hamilton Memorial Gardens with Military Honors. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
