Almeda McRee Frazier, of Soddy-Daisy, TN, passed away Thursday, November 1, 2012. She was a 1940 Graduate of Soddy-Daisy High School where she has been inducted into the Hall of Fame. After high school, Almeda Graduated from the University of Chattanooga with a Masters Degree in Music. She was a member of the Eastern Star Mayflower Chapter #141 and the Daughters of the American Revolution, and she helped established the AARP in Soddy-Daisy. Almeda retired from T.V.A. in 1977 after forty two years of service. She has been a member of the Soddy Presbyterian Church and she attended the Soddy United Methodist Church where she was the pianist.
Her parents, Douglas & Nannie Eldridge McRee, preceded her in death.
She is survived by her husband, Earl Lee Frazier; cousins, Ernestine Eldridge and Dorothy Hoffman; niece, Elizabeth Heckman; nephews, Sammy Hugh Frazier and Sam Gill Frazier.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 P.M. Monday, November 5, 2012, at the Soddy United Methodist Church, where her body will lie in state from 1:30 P.M. TO 2:00 P.M., with Reverend Ken Scoggins officiating. Burial will follow in Presbyterian Cemetery. Visitation is Sunday from 2:00 P.M. TO 4:00P.M. & 6:00 P.M. To 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
