HAWKINS - TONY, 59, of Soddy Daisy, died Monday in a local hospital. A life-long resident of Soddy Daisy, he was founder and owner of Tony's Wrecker Service and Tony's Ambulance Service.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Marie Rose Hawkins; daughter, Tammye Hawkins; two brothers, Robert and Mack Hawkins; and two sisters, Dorothy Stephens and Arvazine Gilbert.
Survivors include his wife, Judy Grissom Hawkins; daughter, Gail Layne; two sons, Eddie and Michael Hawkins, all of Soddy Daisy; two sisters, Joyce Ann Salvidge, Hixson and Betty Higgins, Hixson; three grandchildren, Toni, Grace and Emily Layne; several aunts, uncles nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 3:30pm Thursday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Al Goss, the Rev. Clayton Privett and the Rev. Paul Forgey officiating. Burial will be in Varner Cemetery.
