  [S16] Obituary. December 24, 1921 - August 20, 2014 Lorene Hackney Posey, 92, a lifelong resident of Soddy-Daisy, TN, went to meet the Lord, Wednesday, August 20, 2014. She was a lifelong member of the Sequoyah Church of God. Lorene retired from Hamilton county Nursing Home after twenty one years and she retired from Down Town General Hospital after twenty one years. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband, William John Posey. Lorene is survived by her son, William Bill Posey of Soddy-Daisy; four daughters, Linda Laymon of Soddy-Daisy, Darlene Stinnett of Chattanooga, Elizabeth Judd of Soddy-Daisy and Carolyn Scates of Soddy-Daisy and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, August 23, 2014, at Williamson & Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Lindsey and Rev. Calvin Nunley officiating. Burial will follow in East Soddy Community Cemetery. Visitation is 2:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. Friday and after 10:00 A.M. Saturday. Condolences and memories can be shared at www.williamsonandsons.com.
