  [S16] Obituary. September 17, 1952 - March 2, 2014 Diane Beene Laymon, 61, of Sale Creek, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 2, 2014 at her residence. She was a lifelong resident of the Soddy-Daisy and Sale Creek area. Diane attended school in Soddy-Daisy and worked at Winn Dixie from its opening to closing. Her previous work was done at Buster Brown Apparel. She enjoyed the outdoors, flowers and most of all, her family. Diane was kind hearted, funny and a joy to be around. She was always doing something to help someone. She never met a stranger. Her sense of humor, wittiness and laughter will be missed by so many. Diane had not been in the best of health for several years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Helen and Otis Beene, Jr. She is survived by her son, Johnny Laymon; daughter, Jana Laymon Solomon; brother, Richard (Paula) Beene; 2 grandsons, a niece, a nephew and a great nephew. Services will be held on Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at Hamilton Memorial Gardens with Chris Beene, Johnny Beene, Tim Beene, Bo Huff, Justin Rumor and Randolph Stitcher serving as pallbearers. Visitation is Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Special thanks to Sharon and Phyllis for all their love and care not as just family but loyal friends over the years.
