  [S16] Obituary. April 19, 1932 - May 24, 2013 Oscar Ritchie, 81, of Soddy-Daisy passed away Friday, May 24, 2013. He was of the Baptist faith. Oscar served the City of Soddy-Daisy for over 35 years as owner/operator of Soddy Daisy Garbage Disposal. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Mamie Ritchie and two brothers, Johnny and Eddie Ritchie. Survivors include his loving wife of 60 years, Violet Ritchie; son, Rick (Debbie) Ritchie; daughters, Vivian (Paul) Forgey and Krista (Bill) Greene; five grandchildren, Mike (Rhonda) Henson, Johnny (Jennifer) Forgey, Jason Greene, Jessica Greene, and Shane (Heather) Ritchie, eight great grandchildren; brothers, Odis (Virginia) Ritchie, Ralph (Trudy) Ritchie and Tommy (Linda) Ritchie; several nieces and nephews; ex-daughter-in-law, Karen Ritchie; special friends; LC and Martha Dean Welch. Services will be held Tuesday, May 28, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Paul Forgey officiating. Pallbearers will be the grandchildren. Entombment with Military Honors and releasing of a Dove will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens. Visitation is Monday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
