  [S16] Obituary. May 13, 1935 - February 13, 2012 Reita Sue Shipley, 76, of Soddy-Daisy, passed away at her home surrounded by her family on Monday, February 13, 2012. She was a member of Green Pond Baptist Church. Reita was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Jane Davis; husband, Herbert Shipley and son, Jackie Shipley. Survivors include her son, Phillip (Sherry) Shipley of Soddy-Daisy; daughter, Kelly Shipley of Soddy-Daisy; brothers, Pete (Judy) Davis of Soddy-Daisy and Joby (Betty) Davis of Dayton; sisters, Wanda Clift, Mildred May and Barbara Newman all of Soddy-Daisy; grandchildren, Chad Shipley, “Angie Harvey”, Kaycee Danner, Ryan (Megan) Shipley, Alisha Danner and Jamie (Tommy) Brown; great grandchildren, Landon, Khloe, Maddie, Rylee, Peyton, Damon and Kensey along with several nieces and nephews. Services will be Thursday, February 16, 2012 at 12 noon in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Wilburn Hardyman and Dr. Clankston Freeman officiating. Burial will follow at Hamilton Memorial Gardens with Geno Shipley, Don Clift, Ronnie May, Russell Davis, Jerry Newman and Gary Newman serving as pallbearers.
