  Obituary for VestaGann Penney From: The Chattanooga News FreePress (pg C 8) Sunday, January17, 1988 Vesta Gann Penney, 85, of Thrasher Pike in Hixson, died Saturdaymorning at a local hospital. She was the daughter of the late Lewis andEva Laymon Gann and was a member of the Dividing Ridge Church of God.She was preceded in death by her husband, Hiram J. Penney. Survivorsinclude two sons, Harold and Stancel Penney of Signal Mountain; fourbrothers, Arnold, Baxter, Howard, and Leroy Gann all of Hixson; fourgrandchildren, five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.Services will be held today a 2:30 p.m. at Williamson and Sons FuneralHome in Soddy-Daisy with the Reverend Frank Rich officiating.
