  [S16] Obituary. December 18, 1961 - May 22, 2016 Samuel David Hixson, 54 of Soddy Daisy died Sunday, May 22, 2016. He was the son of the late Ralph and Sarah Hixson and was also preceded in death by his siblings, Ruth Wright, Irene Couch, Dorothy Moore, Larry "Buddy" Brock, and Lonzo and Marty Hixson. Survivors include his wife, Vickie Hixson; daughter, Melissa (Larry) Woodall; grandchildren, Josh and Emily Woodall; brothers, Tommy, Clifford, Raymond, and Eddie Hixson; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 3 P. M. Thursday, May 26, 2016 in the chapel of Legacy Funeral Home with Rev. Troy Simmons officiating. Interment will follow in Welsh Rogers Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 - 8 P. M. Wednesday at Legacy Funeral Home. Arrangements are by Legacy Funeral Home and Cremation Center.
